Are you nostalgic for the look of Windows 98, especially its Plus! Themes such as Baseball, Jungle, Space, and Underwater? Wish that Microsoft included more themes with Windows 7 such as versions of these old classics?


Found via the @MSWindows Twitter feed, Manan via his "I'm Just Being Manan" blog has created theme packs based on the Windows 98 Plus! Themes that work for Windows 7. These unofficial re-releases can update your window color, sounds, background graphics, and icons (Computer, Recycle Bin, and Network) to remind you of when life, and Windows, was simpler. A total of 16 themes are available:

Just download the ZIP file, open it in Explorer, then double-click a ".themepack" file to install.

Note that this does not include ports of Windows 98 Plus! screensavers.
